How to join
Thank you for your interest in Studio 74 Management. If you would like to apply for an audition to be represented by our talent agency please complete the attached application form. Complete this form with as much detail as possible and return to us by post or Email- email@example.com
Once we have received your application we will be in touch if we would like to see you for an audition. Please ensure you attach an up to date photograph of your child with the application.
When attaching photographs please make sure your child is NOT wearing the following:
HATS, HOODS, SUNGLASSES, BIG BOWS IN HAIR, DUMMIES, FACE PAINT AND MAKEUP. The photograph should be very clear of head and shoulders only looking directly at the camera with hair down and natural.
For children 6+
Please prepare a short monologue, if your child can sing they should also prepare a verse and chorus to show off their vocal range. If your child can dance they should prepare a 1 minute routine to show us their dance ability.
For children 2-5yrs
Please bring a favourite toy or book to talk about or have a nursery rhyme ready to sing to us. Generally your child will be invited in for an Agency Workshop audition. This gives us time to see your child’s strengths and give some feedback as to what they would need to work on. During this workshop they will gain valuable information about audition processes, self-tapes, how to stand out in an audition and much more.
Before applying to join our Agency please consider the following
– Are you able to commit to last minute casting/auditions and self-tapes (castings are often requested for the next day and can be very short notice)
– Is your child’s school happy about them taking time off and leaving early for castings/auditions if need be?
– Are you able to travel in and around all areas of London to get to castings and auditions?
– Is your child confident when meeting new people?
– Is your child confident and natural in front of camera and having their photo taken?
How do I apply?
Please fill out the form on this page and email over an attached copy. If you feel your child has a natural talent in dancing, singing or acting then please get in touch. Initially we ask that you send a covering email with a little info about your child and a snapshot of them. Please Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to apply.
Are there any fees to join?
No! There is no fee to join, however we do request that our child clients over the age of 5 years old join Spotlight. Spotlight connects professional performers with casting opportunities around the world. Performers on Spotlight are recognised by agents and casting professionals as the most talented in the industry. There is a fee paid directly to Spotlight for your child to be registered with them.
Does my child need to attend classes with you?
No. It is not a requirement for children to attend regular classes with us at our Theatre School. We represent children all over the country so we know this is often not possible. However in order for us to see your child’s development and to be able to guide and advise on the best path for them we do require children to come along to our Agency workshops that are held over the School holidays.
Does my child need professional photos?
Yes. We have a photographer that comes in regularly to take photos of our clients, so this can be arranged for you. If you already have professional photo’s then we are happy to accept these if they meet the guidelines
How does my child get a job?
This is a very competitive industry and there is no guarantee of us finding work for your child. We have a great team of Children’s Agents that work to get your child castings/auditions and submit them for roles that are suitable for them.
What if they need time off school?
If your child gets a job and requires time off school, they will need to get a letter from their school stating that they can have the time off for the job. All children have to be licensed for any paid work so we do need permission form the school if this falls on a school day. Most schools are happy to authorise a reasonable amount of absence for filming, theatre and auditions as they also see it as a great opportunity for your child. We do advise that if your child is accepted on to our Books that you discuss this with your child’s school and let them know that time off may be requested.
Will I have to go to jobs with my child?
A lot of the time there are licensed chaperones who will be able to look after your children whilst working. However you may be needed to take your child to auditions/castings. Some jobs do request that parents chaperone but each job is different.
How does my child get paid?
Payment goes through Studio 74 Management. Payment varies on each job and payment terms also vary – you can expect on some jobs to wait up to 60 days for payment however other jobs pay weekly.
